The official tourism & destination marketing organization for the Cypress Hills Destination Area #CHDAMems

Cypress Hills Destination Area Inc.

The Cypress Hills Destination Area, Inc. is the official tourism and destination marketing organization for the Cypress Hills and surrounding area. As a not-for-profit, our main goal is to encourage people to explore what our area has to offer. We do this by promoting the municipalities, tourism operators, parks, and other businesses in our area to a variety of markets across Canada and the rest of the world. We also work with stakeholders in the area to ensure that our region is offering quality tourism experiences to our guests!

The Cypress Hills Destination Area welcomes visitors with truly amazing scenery and a variety of activities that the entire family can enjoy, regardless of the season! The Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is a unique and ruggedly beautiful area, with forests, fields, and streams to enjoy; go camping, hiking, fly fishing, or just relax. The park is also a Dark-Sky Preserve – one of the largest in North America – so there is no better place for watching the night sky and maybe catching a meteor shower. Visit nearby Maple Creek for the wonderful dining experiences at The Star Café, Rockin’ Horse Cookhouse & Bar, or Commercial Hotel. Taste wine made from grapes grown right here in Saskatchewan at the Cypress Hills Vineyard and Winery. Play in the trees and go ziplining through the lodge pole pines with Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures. If you are feeling adventurous, head over to Historic Reesor Ranch, a working cattle ranch where you can help with daily chores or take a guided ride through the beautiful valleys. Dig out your inner paleontologist and visit the T.rex Discovery Centre in Eastend where you can now see a full sized cast model of Scotty’s skeleton. Just east down the road is Shaunavon. Enjoy a delicious meal from award-winning restaurant Harvest Eatery and Fresh Market. Go next door to visit Frank the buffalo in the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre. Check out the art exhibit and two museum displays while you are there. Go bowling at Alley-Oops and then relax by the pool. Be sure to stop and grab some of the signature canning, pies, and meats over at the Ranch House Meat Company.

We encourage you to browse our website as it is full of information and links to help make your next visit to our area an enjoyable one! If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the area, be sure to give yourself enough time to take advantage of all that the Cypress Hills Destination Area has to offer.

Blue skies and happy trails!
